Net-Zero Hour – June: Emerging Voices in Net Zero Research

June 3, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm BST
Net Zero Hour – Emerging Voices in Net-Zero Research

Join us for Net Zero Hour: Emerging Voices in Net-Zero Research, an engaging seminar showcasing innovative research from three emerging researchers tackling some of the key challenges in the transition to a sustainable and resilient future.

Abstract

This session will explore cutting-edge work across offshore renewable energy, coastal climate resilience, and green hydrogen technologies. Topics include improving the performance and efficiency of floating offshore wind farms through advanced wake-flow simulations, investigating the use of dredged sediments in coastal nature-based solutions to enhance resilience and biodiversity under sea level rise, and developing additively manufactured electrodes for direct seawater electrolysis to support sustainable hydrogen production.

Together, these presentations highlight the interdisciplinary research and technological innovation helping to shape the future of net zero energy, infrastructure, and coastal systems.

Presenters

Hear from Quisha Graham, Tom Fearon and Hruthik Vandanapu, three N0MES CDT postgraduate researchers who will be delivering an overview and update on their current PhD research.
